About Us

Meet the Team

WildTaiwan Travel

We believe that Taiwan, a land of such profound natural and cultural intrigue, deserves to be seen in full, through real experiences that bring travelers into the lives of the island’s artisans, farmers, historians and fishermen alike.

To us, this is the essence of sustainable travel – putting local people at the heart of all that we do. We do the work, the planning, everything down to the smallest detail, to ensure our travelers can focus on having life-changing experiences on the ground.

It’s this dedication, expertise, and passion for travel that makes the Wild collective an award-winning industry leader with over 20 years of experience curating journeys to every corner of the globe.

Co-founder

Kendra Tombolato

Kendra has been with the Wild Collective since 2017, designing and running trips for VIP clients under the WildChina brand in mainland China before turning her creative talents and deep industry knowledge toward Taiwan.

Originally a native of Boulder, Colorado, Kendra has been working, studying and travelling across East Asia since the early 2010s, forging her love of travel and Chinese culture into a successful career.

A climber, hiker and explorer at heart, she graduated with a minor in Chinese at the University of Colorado, later studying the language at the prestigious National Taiwan University in Taipei, where she lived for two years before cramming her apartment into a backpack and circumnavigating the island for three months by motorcycle. Kendra’s flair for business, intercultural experience and obsession with adventure set WildTaiwan in good stead as the island’s premier authority on experiential travel.
